Labour Group On London Charter To End Rough Sleeping

Cllr Claire Holland is pictured above with the Lambeth Labour Group, who passed a motion to support signing up for the borough.

“I am incredibly proud that Lambeth Council has signed the Mayor’s Rough Sleeping Charter, the first of its kind for London, encouraging others across our borough and our Capital to do the same.”
“One in 50 Londoners is homeless, that’s one child in every classroom.”
“A cost-of-living crisis, spiralling rent prices and a short supply of housing has led to an intolerable rise in rough sleeping across London.”
“In Lambeth we have made great strides in supporting those at risk of rough sleeping, in both prevention and responding to reported instances”
“but we need a pan-London solution to reverse this trend and bring an end to rough sleeping.”
