Councillor Adam Hug, leader of Westminster City Council, has signed the London Charter to End Rough Sleeping in a visit to The Passage.
As the area with the highest levels of rough sleeping in the country, Westminster faces unique challenges in ending rough sleeping, and has a wealth of innovative services assisting those facing homelessness. In this complex are of central London, partnership work across the community including the council, homelessness charities, businesses and the public is vital.
“We are proud to join partners across London in signing this Charter to end rough sleeping once and for all.”
“People who sleep rough experience severe health inequalities and sadly, Westminster has some of the highest numbers of rough sleepers anywhere in the country.”
